A Quick Look at the Navigon 7200T

March 31st, 2010

With stiff competition from the communication giants such as Garmin and TomTom, it is no easy task for Navigon when it comes to wooing new customers and Navigon looks set to do so with the Navigon 7200T.

This new GPS navigator from Navigon puts together the perfect mix of good looks in its attractive sleek design and features. Its more than pleasing aesthetics, combined with its wide ranging features such as voice address entry, 3D landmark renderings, text-to-speech functionality, and integrated Bluetooth connectivity and most notably, extremely reasonable price tag, make this GPS navigator a most logical choice as compared with the similarly featured TomTom Go 930. While the compact and highly portable Navigon 7200T sports an all-new black matte casing and sharp and bright 4.3″ widescreen touch sensitive screen which makes map reading for users a breeze be it in 2D or 3D mode, its onscreen ABC keyboard is less than desirable despite its larger size as compared with its predecessor, the Navigon 7100.

This Navigon GPS device encompasses a somewhat intuitive user interface with plenty of useful shortcuts such as New Destination, My Destinations, Take Me Home and Voice Entry. This GPS navigator also owns a microSD expansion slot, a reset hole, a mini USB port, a 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom and an external antenna jack on the back.

This Navigon GPS device is also all you will require for a road trip. Armed with preloaded maps of the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, all you will need to do is to key in your location of choice and allow the Navigon 7200T to do the rest.

This amazing GPS device also recalculates routes and gives drivers the option of avoiding traffic congestions, tolls and even highways. Multi-destination routing also allows drivers to add multiple stops to their trip while the points of interest database teams up with Zagat Survey ratings and reviews to provide users with detailed information on places of interest, restaurants, gas stations and lodging.

Other amazing features of this funky and amazing piece of kit include Reality View Pro, a unique feature that offers drivers a photo-realistic 3D view of the roads and road signs they will soon encounter, ensuring that they do not miss an exit, and the extremely helpful Lane Assistant Pro which gives drivers clear visual lane guidance, pre-empting them about the upcoming exits and turns. Users of this Navigon GPS device will be able to make use of the advanced voice recognition feature by simply speaking the address of their destination. This coupled with the integrated Bluetooth connectivity feature, allows drivers to utilize the GPS system hands free, leaving both hands to steer the wheel.

If you’re in the market for a higher-end portable navigation device that won’t completely bust the bank, the Navigon 7200T is a decent choice.

Have a look at the Navigon 7200T Specifications so you can decide if the Navigon 7200T is the perfect GPS navigator for you!

Garmin Nuvi 260W Portable GPS features

March 31st, 2010

I drive for a living and to make it easier for myself, I decided to buy my own GPS device. So I started reading reviews about different GPS units before purchasing one and found Garmin Nuvi 260w very interesting. This unit has the text to speech feature and it is very important to have it. If you don’t have this feature, the unit will tell you that your turn is coming up but does not give you the name of the street. The text to speech feature will speak the name of the street for you. With this feature you can listen without looking at the navigator screen.

Garmin Nuvi 260w starts up very fast, in about 30 seconds and it is very easy to use. Because of it’s wide screen, you can see and read everything very easy. The instructions of Nuvi 260w are very clear, but it is worth glancing at the green bar at the top of the screen to see the full instruction.

The map with the graphics can often clear up confusion. The other great thing about the map is it labels upcoming streets so you are not peering at street signs.

The Garmin Nuvi 260w typically completes route calculation within 20 seconds or less and you don’t need to wait for the next instructions for a long time. This unit completes the route calculation for you withing 20 seconds or less.

The main features that you get with this unit are as follows: The Garmin Nuvi 260w portable GPS system is preloaded with City Navigator North America NT. Turning A Passion Into A Vocation In Flying

March 30th, 2010

There are as many directions a pilot’s license can take you as there are folks who need to be certified to fly with the birds.

Your final goals in the airline industry might change and develop the deeper you get into the culture of the airline industry. For many of us, initially we want to get that pilot’s license partly for fun so we can enjoy that occasional outing with family and friends and maybe solely to prove to ourselves that we will do it. But once the “bug” of flying gets in your system, do not be shocked if you see yourself involved in aviation full time and turning your zeal for flying into a really successful career.

As quickly as you to see yourself as a pro in the airline industry, you will do well to change your approach to training and your preparation for your next large step in the world of aircraft and flying. If you’re going to follow a trail in the arena of the big airlines to perhaps work your way up to ultimately pilot a gigantic commercial jumbo jet, that is a different instructional goal from becoming a sports pilot for fun or to just be ready to fly from time to time as part of your business.

But one creative option that’s a superb way to prepare for a vocation in the airline industry whether that’s to work as part of a huge organization or to launch your own business is to go after a 4 year degree in flying or aviation which gives you much larger depth of education. The costs of getting a pilot’s license are rather high. And when you’re done, you’ll have that pilot’s license but nothing more. It will be up to you to learn the business side of the airline business.

But by channeling those funds into a full degree plan, you’ll still get your pilot’s license but it’ll be integrated in with a full program which will give you the business exposure, support courses in accounting and maths and exposure to other facets of the industry such as aircraft repair [*COMMA] flight control and aviation management at each level of the business. You will come out of this program with a full degree that you can then take on to specialised coaching or to a pros or PHD in the field.

Next, you can find what more you can discover about Garmin Aviation GPS which you can access via the main website here at the Garmin GPS Savings support site.

Why To Install Car GPS Navigation System

March 29th, 2010

There is a stereotype about men that says they will never stop to ask for directions. Well, at this moment they don’t have to. Women don’t either; not with a car GPS navigation system. Years ago, whenever you needed directions, you would have to check a map, phone someone who recognized where your destination was, or you needed to stop and look for directions.

After that, the cellular telephone came out and every person seemed to have one. This allowed you to stay on the phone with anyone till you obtained in places you were going. Next, another technology came out: the car GPS navigation system. It revolutionized in what way people traveled. And the technology continues to get better.

Move through Turning Directions

A car GPS navigation system makes use of satellite communication as a way to be able to tell you what to do step by step. The majority of us have printed directions to someplace online. This printout tells you how long it takes to find your destination, how many kilometers it is, and it gives a list of where and when to change.

These printouts are very convenient and they’ve aided many people get to their destinations well. Nowadays, what if you didn’t have a printout to get where you’re going? Can you imagine someone, or something, could inform you where and when to turn? That’s what a car GPS navigation system does.

For Take a trip A car GPS navigation system is designed for travel. You can find any destination you want, whether it’s a city, a certain address, or a business. You can also program your car GPS navigation system to alert you if you’re driving over the speed limit, when you’re coming up to a rest stop, an ATM machine, or any other destination you want.

No longer do you need to check out down at a map while you are driving a car, that can be quite unsafe. The car GPS will talk to you and let you know the place where and when to turn each step of the way, just like those printouts do. You can keep your eyes on the road and find your destination securely.

Getting Home

Another great point about these systems is that, in case you ever find yourself can not get where you’re going house, it is possible to just hit the house key and your navigation system will guide you there. All people have been lost in a strange neighborhood a minimum of once in life. Many subdivisions today are like mazes. With a Navigation system, it is possible to just hit the home key and get home without getting a problem.

Many new cars these days come with an opportunity to have a car GPS set up. But you can even buy a comparatively cheap one which attaches into your car’s cigarette lighter. These systems are a must for everyone who is not directionally inclined, however even those with good direction sense will discover them extremely helpful for several purposes.
